Dear All,

Welcome to  your mid March update.

Challenge Walks

Last Sunday saw 16 Essex & Herts members out checking the routes of this year’s Essex Walker. We all had a really enjoyable day (despite the afternoon rain) taking in the rural landscapes to the southwest of Chelmsford. Thank you to Peter, Ginny, Rob and Gill who looked after us so well on the walk with plenty of food, drink and encouragement. Here are a few pictures:   Essex Walker Marshals' Walk

There is still plenty of time to get your entry in for the main event which is on Sunday 10th April – the cost for LDWA members is  just  £12. For that you will get a great day’s walking with a route description and GPX files, a certificate and plenty of light refreshments on the way round and at the end.  Enter via SIentries  here: Essex Walker

Following the Essex Walker, our next challenge event will be The Herts Hobble – entries open on 14th April.

And two of our neighbouring groups have challenge walks in the next few months – Norfolk & Suffolk’s Rodent Wriggle and  BBN’s Pick and Mix
