Section 1 - Preston to Garstang (18 miles - arrive for lunch stop at around 2:30pm); anyone stopping here can catch the hourly bus back to Preston. Lunch stop will by Sainsbury's in Garstang (PR3 1EL), should anyone need to replenish supplies (GR SD489456). Section 2 - Garstang to Lancaster Railway Station (restart from front of Sainsbury's at around 3pm for the remaining 13.5 miles). You can, of course, join the walk here if you want to do the shorter section
