From The Visitors Centre Car Park, Elan Valley, nr Rhayader (car park £2.00 in 2019)

Annual Walking (or running) CHALLENGE EVENT held across OPEN AND CHALLENGING UPLAND TERRAIN in and around the Elan and Claerwen Valleys. The route is waymarked in parts, but MAP READING SKILLS ARE REQUIRED. Entry fee & kit check apply

Entrants will need to ensure that they are physically prepared for this challenging event. All to be kitted out for a winter hill walk. Essential Equipment to be carried for the Kit Check: OS map Landranger 147 or Explorer 200, compass, whistle, torch, first aid kit including a survival bag, waterproofs, enough food & drink for the day, warm clothes and proper footwear. Entry: £12, OTD £15 incl drinks/refreshments and cert to finishers. Proceeds to local charities. For pre-entries: We need to received these by 31st December 2019 due to holiday post.
