The 22 mile Endurance route ascends on to the Brecon Beacons ridge over the summit of Fan-y-Big and Cribyn before reaching Pan-y-Fan, the highest point in South Wales. The route then descends to the south east following mountain paths and forest trails before the final peak of Tor-y-Foel, then returning to the Henderson Hall. The Alternative route is still a high level mountain walk, rising high on to the Brecon Beacon ridge, but omits Pen-y-Fan by taking a shorter route south east before rejoining the Endurance route for the ascent of Tor-Y-Foel and the return to Talybont-on-Usk. The Taster walk is a 10 mile lower level route suitable for families with self guided and lead options available
