From Trehafod Community Village Hall, Trehafod, CF37 2NF. To access event venue follow the A4058 from Pontypridd. 500 metres after leaving Hopkinstown, look for small brown signs and turn left over narrow bridge into Barry Sidings Country Park. Car park GR: ST054908

A visually spectacular spring walk of 26.5ml with 5,000ft ascent or 16ml with 2,900ft ascent in the famous Rhondda Valleys of South Wales

Organised by South Wales LDWA & open to non-members. This year's event will be a 'Memorial Walk' in memory of Gwyn Matthews who died earlier this year. He was intimately involved in its creation and subsequent organisation.Route description & GPX files available for download from South Wales website. No dogs permitted as it is the lambing season

LDWA members 26ml & 16ml £6.00; non-members 26ml & 16ml £22.00 (big price reduction for LDWA members in 2019 (LDWA membership only £13.00) NO ENTRIES OTD) incl tea & toast at start, cold drinks & snacks at all check points, with substantial savoury food at the Ton Pentre & Trealaw check points, dependent upon whether entrants are on 26 or 16 mile routes, hot & cold drinks, light meal at finish and a certificate
