The walk sets off from the Southbank, under Waterloo Bridge, and finishes near the Olympic Park in Stratford

This is the third year of the Capital Challenge, a 28-mile urban walk taking in London's finest parks and architecture. Celebrating the best of London's green spaces, the route uses almost completely mud-free paths through public parks, over fine town squares and beside waterways. There are 4 checkpoints, of which 2 have simple refreshments, and also cafes at the start & finish, with public transport close to hand and in general. In addition, the route passes a wide variety of shops and cafes along much of its length.
