Distance now a little over 20miles. Parking - Good options are to park in the streets to the south-west of Dorchester West station, or in the Fairfield long term car park, which you pass if you come into Dorchester from the south, at a cost of £4 per day.

The walk roughly follows the line of the Third Geodetic Survey between Fundamental Benchmarks in Thornford and Dorchester. Catch train from Dorchester West to Thornford at 9:06am
