Three Lakes and a Tarn - Force Yourself!

Sat 25th Feb 2017

Walk Details:

Event Cancelled
I am strongly recommending we don't try to walk if the weather turns out as bad as the forecast!! So difficult to read the forecast but it says 95% chance of rain all day long and 40 mph wind so isn't going to be any fun!
Event Type
Group Walk
Region
Northern England
Local Group
Lakeland
Distance
12ml.
Start Time
09.00
Route
Market Cross, Ambleside - beside the Post Office/Tourist Information Centre - close to Gaynors

A pleasant walk with open hillsides, woodland, water and decent views and not too much hard work. Visiting Loughrigg Fell (shoulder only), Loughrigg Tarn, Seklwith Force, Colwith Force, Little Langdale, Chapel Stile, Grasmere (Lake not town), Rydal Water and Rydal. Should be some opportunities for refreshments along the way depending on your choices - pubs or cafes. In the midst of tourist land but whilst the tourists are still not around. Best of both worlds.

Hope this inspires a few of you to come along, especially anyone less experienced as this shouldn't be too taxing on the feet.
