Start and finish Hastings Castle (West Hill café near entrance). Trains 08.06 or 08.36 from Charing X OR VICTORIA: ***NEW NOTE: it is better (and cheaper) to book rail in advance. There are two ways of getting to Hastings: either via Charing Cross (trains leaving 08.15 or 08.45) OR London Victoria (07.47 Victoria 07.53 Clapham 08.02 East Croydon). Although going via Victoria takes a bit longer IT IS VERY MUCH THE CHEAPEST OPTION. Note also that it may be cheaper to buy two single journeys rather than a return.
