Ruth Griffiths and Family invite all LDWA Members to join then for a brief and informal memorial gathering to witness the scattering of Terry Griffiths ashes at Lilla Cross 12.00 Noon SE889987. Start time and route dependant on your choice of Parking. Your options are • Saltergate CP (A169) SE853937: 5.1 miles to Lilla Cross (c 200ft ascent) PAY AND DISPLAY- £2.50. (100 spaces) • Goathland CP: NZ833014 (walk via Cow Wath Bank Top – 5.4 miles). Large CP PAY & DISPLAY £3 • May Beck NZ892084 3.2 Miles to Lilla Cross (approx. 550ft ascent). About 20 spaces • Cow Wath Bank Top CP NZ852028: 3.9 miles to Lilla Cross (c 200ft ascent) About 25 spaces • Eller Beck CP ( A169/Goathland Road) SE855986: 2.2 miles to Lilla Cross (about 350ft ascent) VERY BOGGY About 15 spaces • Jugger Howe Car Park ( A171) NZ945002 3.7 miles to Lilla Cross (550 ft ascent, inc one steep climb out of Jugger Howe Beck) About 12 spaces WOULD FIT WALKERS PLEASE USE GOATHLAND OR SALTERGATE TO LEAVE THE NEARER CAR PARKS FREE FOR MEMBERS OF TERRY'S FAMILY AND THOSE LESS FIT. Afterwards all are invited to a wake at Pickering Rec Club, Mill Lane, Pickering YO18 7DB (GR SE797836 ) from about 2pm (Please note there is no food- so bring your own lunch) A collection will be taken for The Salvation Army, The British Heart Foundation and Slovenian Mountain Rescue.
