DVHW follows the course of the Derwent from its end near Shardlow to the Ladybower near Sheffield. At its end it meets the Trent and the Trent & Mersey canal at a junction known as Derwent Mouth. The first stage starts here and walks northwards to Belper, taking in an ancient port, an abbey, new and old parts of Derby, Roman ruins, and a World Heritage Site with its many mills. Mainly flat with some gentle ascents. There will be 3 stages covering the whole path. Rebate for those members who book early. Check website for start time nearer the date. Transport by coach from Worcester and pickup at j10 M42 services. Contact Mike to book a place or seek further information
