Flooded off in January this new, fully waymarked route is a delightful walk, containing six of Bury’s most historic and attractive villages, in memory of local ranger and enthusiast, John Hopkinson, who was regarded as a most charming, amusing and helpful individual. The super six are Hawkshaw, Holcombe, Nangreaves, Greenmount, Ainsworth and Affetside. Appropriate breaks will be taken, including a decent lunchtime stop
