Meet at the c.p. (opp the New Inn) in Llangynog (SY10 0EX) 08.00 for 08.15 start

Mountain walking, 23 miles with 5250 ft of ascent.Over the hills to Maengwynedd, then Foel Wen, the Berwyn peaks and Cwm Rhiwarth. A high-level route with rough ground, little shelter and no easy shortcuts back to the start. Excellent views in clear weather. Bring food, water and mountain kit for a long day. Note that if the weather is bad we will not do this route, and all will do the South route

General Notes
Food/refreshments available at New Inn after walk (allows time for traffic to die down on M54/M6!). Please let the organiser know in advance if you intend to stay for a meal, so that we can advise pub of numbers. Llangynog c.p is free and has public toilet, as of 2015, but poor mobile phone reception
