For 16 mi option meet Gomshall station (09.00 Waterloo, x Guildford 09.48) For 27 mi option meet Dorking station (07.54 Victoria) then lift to car park on Ranmore Common Road near "Steers Field" (TQ 14144 50378) (or drive directly there and meet at 08.55)

The walks follow the routes of the 16 and 27 mile Founders Challenge hikes which can be found on the website at https://www.ldwa.org.uk/London/W/4239/2016-founders-details.html

General Notes
These walks are aimed primarily at marshals and other helpers of the Founders walk, but are also open to other members who have never taken part in a challenge walk before and would like to understand better what is involved in one, and any members who would like a challenging walk at a brisk pace.. NB(1) "start/finish" grid refs in the route descriptions are for PEASLAKE - start point for Founders; NOT the Marshals' hikes NB(2) if you would like to do the 27 mile walk please contact the leader, Douglas Robinson, at london@ldwa.org.uk to confirm attendance. NB(3) the 27 mile walk will be at a brisk pace in order to finish in daylight, so numbers may be restricted NB(4) for both walks bring a packed lunch
