As you will no doubt be aware, the group will be going away to HF Holidays' Holnicote House near Selworthy on Exmoor, for a weekend's walking in October.
Planning ahead, Adrian, has contacted HF Holidays about three nights in their Long Mynd venue in Shropshire from 18th October 2019. Whilst no definite commitment (and no deposit from you) is required now, HF are asking for a deposit from group funds to hold about 20 (mostly single) rooms for us.
HF is a great organisation, with good food, and this part of the country is lovely to visit, nestled in the middle of the Shropshire Hills AONB. The cost per person would be about £250 full board for three nights.
Adrian is keen for us to move forward as soon as possible, however the committee (and your venerable treasurer) is keen to check that there is sufficient interest in such a weekend before using our (hard earned) group funds.
Please email me at carolholmes77@hotmail.com in the next week (before 9th July) to express an interest (no commitment at this stage), as the committee feels that without some confidence that the trip will fill up then we will probably decide not to reserve the dates in Shropshire.
