Lady Anne's Way 2010

Appersett Viaduct and Cotter Dale Nice cup of tea, a biscuit and a sit down - at Askirgg

A few of the group's members have recently enjoyed a four day break walking part of the Lady Anne's Way as part of this year's walks programme.

We were blessed with excellent weather all the way which made for a fun trip.  Also our accommodation was good, with great food if a little too much of it!

Lady Ann travelled the route in a horse litter, but we chose a rather more mundane approach with boots and rucksacs - which proved an awful lot easier to manoever!

We did find a few unusual things along the way considering how close we were to home as some of the photo's confirm - Parrots, Llamas and Giant Mushrooms (or perhaps we had all just been drinking a little too much).

Anyway, we can recommend the route to other groups, from Skipton to Penrith via Hawes, Kirkby Stephen and Appleby so plenty of great places to stop on the way and not too taxing!

We'll never get that in the frying pan!
Good grief! The Taliban Cometh Still a way to go - but don't be Alarma This is a parrot, but not a dead one!
