Spring in Lakeland 2014 - the date has now been confirmed for Sunday 13 April 2014 - we look forward to seeing you at this event.

 

The route for Spring in Lakeland is from Ambleside, visiting: Loughrigg Tarn, Skelwith Bridge, Elterwater, High Tilberthwaite, Coniston, Tarn Hows, Skelwith,before returning to Ambleside. A scenic 22 mile event with 4900ft of ascent. 10 Hours time limit Start and finish: Ambleside Scout Hut GR374042. Entry £5.00 LDWA members, £6.00 others. £7.00 on the day. Check in: 07.00 Start: 08.00. Limit 150. Refreshments at 3 checkpoints, meal at finish, badge for sale.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
