Our 18th (2013) AGM was held on Thursday 21 November at the Crooklands Hotel. The Group enjoyed a good turn out and after the formal business we had a roast supper and a brilliant talk from Jim Bispham about his amazing walk along the Central Ridge of America - complete with death defying adventures!

There were major discussions at the AGM about the potential of merging our group with the Morecambe Bay and Bowland Group to create a new, stronger group.  A vote by members agreed unanimously to take this idea forward and a sub committee will be keeping us informed about progress.  If the talks are productive then there might well be an extraordinary AGM in January 2014 to formally introduce a new group.
