Gargrave. Saturday February 1st 2014. Distance - 20 miles. 27 walkers. Leader - Ian Slinger.
Hebden Bridge. Saturday February 15th 2014. Distance - 20 miles. 13 walkers. Leader - Bob Clarke.
Grassington. Saturday March 22nd 2014. Distance - 20 miles. 20 walkers. Leader - Bob Clarke. To Kettlewell, Great Whernside and Hebden.
Burnsall. Saturday March 29th 2014. Distance - 24 miles. 24 walkers. Leader - Karen Pickersgill.
Leeds Dalesway Link. Saturday April 5th 2014. Distance - 21 miles. 13 walkers. Leader - Bob Clarke.
Ingleton. Saturday April 26th 2014. Distance - 18 miles. 3 walkers. Leader - Andy Ward
Hellifield. Saturday May 3rd 2014. Distance - 23 miles. 15 walkers. Leader - Andy Ward.
Settle. Saturday May 10th 2014. Distance - 25 miles. 9 walkers. Leader - Tom Wood.
Hebden Bridge. Saturday May 17th 2014. Distance - 20 miles. 17 walkers. Leader - Bob Clarke. Glorious weather and superb views were the order of the day on this undulating walk.
Rylstone. Saturday May 31st 2014. Distance - 29 miles. 9 Walkers. Leader - Andy Ward. Oops, 26 miles in Strider so a three mile bonus. For once the girls outnumbered the boys. A glorious day thoroughly enjoyed by the few who bothered to turn up.
Ulfkil Buckden. Saturday June 14th 2014. Distance - 24 miles. 10 walkers. Leader - Ralph Warman. A fine day out with tremendous views. Old Cote moor proved a testing ascent with a welcome descent into Buckden.
Kettlewell. Saturday June 21st 2014. Distance - 22 miles. 17 walkers. Leader - Bob Clarke. A tough ascent up Great Whernside was rewarded with glorious views/weather. Riggs moor did not seem as daunting though Sandy Gate was a welcome sight, with an easy descent to find the Dales Way and a scenic stretch back to Kettlewell.
Ilkley to Grassington (and back). Fri-Sat July 11/12 2014. Distance - 18/36 miles. 12 walkers. Leader - Randal Metzger. Leaving Ilkley at midnight on a warm pleasant evening with almost a full moon. We welcomed four new walkers. A steady pace saw us at Cavendish at 3am arriving at Grassington at 7am for a well earned full breakfast. Five walkers then returned by foot for what proved to be a hot humid day before collapsing into Wetherspoons Ilkley for a well-earned pint or three !
Hebden Bridge II. Saturday July 19th 2014. Distance - 18 miles. 10 walkers. Leader - Bob Clarke. Visited Hebden Dale, Walshaw and Peckett Well. A day of constant rain ! ! ! The joys of walking?
Baildon. Wednesday July 30th 2014. 1830. Distance - 8 miles. 8 walkers. Leader - Bob Clarke. Baildon Moor and Shipley Glen.
Aislabie Walk. Saturday August 2nd 2014. Distance - 18 miles. ? walkers. Leader - Bob Clarke.
Skipton. Saturday August 16th 2014. Distance - 22 miles. ? walkers. Leader - Karen Pickersgill. Linear walk from Skipton railway station to Settle railway station. Return by train.
Otley Almscliff Amble. Saturday September 6th 2014. Distance - 30 miles. 17 walkers. Leaders - Ralph Warman / Stuart Charlton. A joint walk with Nidderdale attracted a good turnout. Heavy showers in the morning and afternoon did not dampen an excellent walk enjoyed by all.
Summer Wine Walk. Saturday September 20th 2014. Distance - 22 miles. 21 walkers. Leaders - Compo n Cleggy. A joint walk with North Yorks attracted a good turnout from various groups and included those who were joining us for the first time.
Todmorden. Saturday October 11th 2014. Distance - 20 miles. 4 walkers. Leaders - Philip Clarke. Gorpley Clough, Rossendale Way, Pudsey and Shore.
Salmon Fishing II. Saturday October 18th 2014. Distance - 22 miles. 17 walkers. Leader - Andy Ward. A repeat of last year attracted a good turn out from various groups. The highlight being the salmon leaping at Stainforth Force.
Gargrave. Saturday October 25th 2014. Distance - 22 miles. 16 walkers. Leader - Tim Rollett. Pennine Way, Pinhaw and Elslack.
Wycoller. Saturday November 1st 2014. Distance - 20 miles. 22 walkers. Leader - Ian Slinger. Fine weather atrracted a mixed bag of walkers from various groups. A visit to Top Withens and Widdop reservoir for lunch amongst the highlights. A good day out enjoyed by all.
Marsden. Saturday November 8th 2014. Distance - 22 miles. 10 walkers. Leader - Tom Wood. Wessendale reservoir, Black Hill, Dove Stones and Pule Hill.
Hawksworth. Saturday November 15th 2014. Distance - 20 miles. 15 walkers. Leader - Karen Pickersgill. A misty murky day did not dampen the spirits on an enjoyable walk where unfortunately the views were somewhat limited.
Bingley. Saturday December 13th 2014. Distance - 18 miles. 14 walkers n two dogs. Leader - Bob Clarke. A fine crisp morning greeted those of us who managed to escape the Xmas shopping. Photos by Tom Wood.
Skipton. Xmas lunch. Saturday December 20th 2014. Distance - 16/10 miles. 22 walkers. Leaders - Andy Ward/Patricia Durdey. Main route of 16 miles and a 10 mile alternative route with Patricia, followed by a meal at the Herriots Hotel in Skipton.
Leeds. Saturday December 27th 2014. Distance - 21 miles. 10 walkers. Leader - Bob Clarke. Meet at Golden Acre Park to visit Harewood Park, Chevin Forest Park and Golden Acre Park.
Addingham. Wednesday December 31st 2014. Distance - 17 miles. 23 walkers. Leader - Andy Ward. Meet on Bark Lane by suspension bridge. Route and mileage dependent on weather. |
