Distance: 15Miles

Weather: Though a little overcast on the hills views were still good so overall the weather was pleasant. The ground was muddy in places.

We walked towards Walmsley Bridge  stopping for lunch at Calder Vale Church. Walking back down  Bleasdale Valley and returning through Lower Lickhurst we arrived back at the picnic site at 15.30 having covered what was agreed as 15miles.

I would like to thank all those who turned up on the day. I really enjoyed the company which was light hearted and good humoured throughout making it a very pleasant walk.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
