Denham Quarry, Feb 26th

Walk leader:              Adrian Houghton

Number on walk:        28+ 2 dogs

Distance:                   10 miles

Weather:                  Blue skies, sunshine, just like a summer day

When we all  met on Denham quarry car park it was jam packed but there was enough room for us all .It was the most beautiful day sun out beating down,
We headed to Top o' Lane then down the track to the first of many dodgy stiles and on to the canal to Whithnell Fold where we came off and up steep steeps and through fields to another dodgy stile, along a lane and through fields to Brindle. Up Smithy Lane then left over the M65 on a bridge. Past chained dogs through Silcock farm and Millstone farm past a large chicken farm, Hatchwood farm.  Then we stopped for a welcome break at Brindle chapel where we had our lunch in the sun . Then along the railway to Gregson lane past both schools and then through woods up steep steps to the road. Over the railway bridge and along the side of the M61. Under a subway and up Pippin Street through Holt Lane farm and back to the cars. Lovely weather and company Nearly 10 mile Every one happy. If only the sun came out every day!

Thanks to all, Ady and sweeper Tom
