Tuesday 16th January

Walk Leaders: Clare and Steve McNeill

Number on walk: 27 people and 2 dogs

Distance: 10.25 miles

Weather: Cloudy and windy weather in the morning- sadly no 360degree views from the top of Pendle Clouds lifted in the afternoon

We started off from Barley carpark along the road past the converted water work dwellings and alongside the Ogden reservoirs. The mist descended on the gradual incline up Pendle via Boars Clough depriving us of the views. Ascended by the fairly recently renovated paths. Everyone was extremely delighted to bump into Stan and Shirley who were going up the "Big end" with Shirley's brother and his wife.

Lunch by the bridge in Barley and then we walked up by the Black Moss reservoirs. We continued by road into a Rough Lee and then along the river back to the carpark.
