Happy Birthday West Lancs group 

Our 40th anniversary celebrations went very well on Saturday.

The day started with two walks one, a version of the Cuckoo walk led by Ian, the other a short historical walk around Brindle led by Stan.

At 4pm we all started to gather in the village hall for the start of the do, and it was wonderful to see and meet with past members who all played such a vital role in the development and running of our group in the past. The guitarist playing background music was excellent adding to the party atmosphere.

The memory table and old magazines clearly brought back many good memories to members, as they talked and reflected on all the great times they had in the past with the group.

An excellent buffet was served followed by a wide selection of cakes.

It was then time for Stan's quiz followed by Frank's talk.

A great time was had by all.
