Fish & Chips, Goosnargh July 25th

Walk Leaders:   Bob & Margaret

No on walk:       12

Weather:            Hot and sunny

Distance:           5 miles

We set off from the church at Goosnargh heading north through fields, which although not completely brown, were very dry. We passed the Goosnargh duck farm with its sheds full of hundreds of ducks and continued crossing the main road and passing Chingle Hall, supposedly the most haunted house in Lancashire. On the way back we had to climb several gates, get over stiles covered by fallen trees - not easy for us with shorter legs!

However, back in the village, we called in at the micro brewery pub for liquid refreshment before going to the chippie next door and putting our order in. The fish was delicious and Bob had arranged with the pub that we could eat them sitting under parasols at his tables outside.
