By 10.00am  21 walkers gathered together , for a change in spring like sunshine, for the start of this Tuesday walk from Worthington Lakes which are situated between Standish and Chorley on the A5106.

Our route took us round the west side of the lake, through Arley woods and along lanes to reach the A6 at Adlington. From here we made our way to Anderton, along The Shawes and through more woodland to arrive at Horrobin Lane.

Lunch was taken near Cunliffes farm before continuing over fields and back into Adlington where we picked up the Leeds Liverpool canal which we followed for about a mile leaving it near Crawshaw Hall and finishing the walk by walking round the east side of the lake to arrive back at our cars about 2.20 pm.

We were blessed with lovely weather all day, walking in sunshine and blue skies. Thanks to everyone who came and Gareth for taking the photos.
