Pudding Plod 2017

The 2017 annual Pudding Plod started at 9am on Saturday 16th December from the car park of the Calf’s Head at Worston.  In near freezing temperatures 20 hardy souls donned their walking gear for the six mile walk back to the Calf’s Head.

We went towards Little Mearley Hall where Frank gave us an interesting talk on the history of the area.  From there we passed through Angram Green, Hookcliffe and Clay House before arriving at the beautiful village of Downham with all its features.

In the picnic area there, John E, Pauline and Ken P were waiting for us with mince pies and Christmas cheer.  Several of the ladies took the opportunity to view the interesting gents’ toilets which have been created from a former pig-sty.   We then made our way back past Worsaw End to the Calf’s Head where we were joined by a further eleven members making a total of 31 who enjoyed the usual high quality meal.  It is fair to say a good time was had by all.

Thanks to all those who took part, particularly those who provided the refreshments at Downham.  A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our members and friends.
