Walk leader - Brian Siddle

Distance -  10.2 miles

Weather - After short shower of hail stones then sunny with clear views.

The route started at the Hurst Green village hall setting off across fields to

to the observatory at Stonyhurst. We then made our way down to the Ribble

via Cross Gills following on to Winckley Hall. The next destination was the

Lower Hodder Bridge following the Hodder stopping for lunch part way.

Then on to Birdy Brow to Kemple End turning off to pass the Paulinus Cross

dating back to the seventh century. From here we made our way back to

Hurst Green making a short diversion to the trig point.

Walk finished at 2.27pm
