PRESTON GUILD 2012 WALK 1 SEPTEMBER

17 people turned up for the start of this 22 miles walk in Goosnargh and which was based on the Guild Walk event of 1992.

We went through rural countryside including an interesting (?) walk through a very high field of wheat to Carwags where we had a coffee stop. We continued on and round the base of Parlick before climbing to the trig point and shelter at Paddy’s Pole just in time for dinner.

The afternoon was a mixture of lanes and fields which were sometimes wet and muddy and arrived at the Brock Bottom picnic site for our afternoon stop.

By now the sun was out and we had a very pleasant  end to the walk through Inglewhite to arrive back at our cars at 5.30pm.
