Darwen Hill Trig Point

 

Neil and Peter completed the painting of the trig point at Darwen Tower yesterday morning and Peter has very expertly attached the plaque.

Almost a year later (May 2019) the trig point is not quite as pristine as it was, but considering its open position on the exposed part of Darwen Moor, then it is not looking too bad at all. And someone has even decorated it a little with a small cairn!

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
