Route
From M6 North take Junction 36 towards the Lakes and after several miles take the A590 towards Barrow. After 3-4 miles, opposite the speed camera turn right into the minor road, sign posted Mill Side and Beck Head. Immediately after turning right, you cross a cattle grid, and then free parking can be found both in the small lay-by ahead or alongside the quiet road immediately to the left. GR SD452839. Nearest post code LA11 6SQ.
The route takes us from the small hamlet of Mill Side in an anti clockwise direction around the base of Whitbarrow which is a Wainwright Outlying Fell. On reaching Township Allotment we then head South climbing steadily to Lord's Seat and then return along the ridge back down to Mill Side.
