Another Hughes Walk - Nov 2016

 

 

8 Members inc new Secretary (welcome Karen) joined Tom & John on another wander round the Don and Dearne valleys.

Today's walk took us from Clayton towards Grimeththorpe Pit Tip (redeveloped into a pleasant nature reserve) and onto Brierly Common and South Kirkby.

passing through Upton, South Emsall we ascended Frickley Pit Tip (again redeveloped) with the locally renowned seven hills of Rome

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
