Cop The PPP - Mar 2016

Cop the PPP walk - Saturday 19th March

13 peeps rocked up in Honley for Roy’s spring up and down walk in the Sth Pennines.

Along with 7 members a lady returning from a hip replacement joined us to try and convince herself she was ready for another crack at long distance walking.

Today’s walk was a usual Roy affair leaving Honley we made our way through Meltham to have elevenses at The Deer Hill reservoir. It is here one in the group was feeling unwell and made their way back to the vehicle.

Dropping into the Colne Valley we made our way along the Huddersfield narrow canal towards Slaithwaite and having lunch in Linthwaite.

After another stretch along the narrow canal we took another hill through Netherton and finished the day back in Honley only losing the Chairman en-route.

Many thanks Roy, another great day with plenty of local history thrown in for good measure.
