Definitive Chatsworth Walk - May 2015

The walk started at the car park at Carlton Lees with 12 walkers on a cloudy day with a promise of light showers,

As we continued the walk to Beeley we were joined by Allan our number then 13 walkers. We then continued uphill to  the edge and then continued towards Chatsworth where a horse trial was in progress stewarded by air cadets. We stopped at the hunting tower to admire the view and then a quick look at the lakes and then onward, a quick scramble up Dod Edge then along Birchen edge where the 3 ships were admired the next two edges of Curber and Froggart took us to the Grouse Inn for a well earned drink.

After refreshments we continued on following the route of the Derwent towards Chatsworth through occasional light rain showers. We then continued on over our last uphill climb and down the lane into Edensor and continued on to our start at Carlton lees. Well done Terry for a good walk on a cloudy and drizzley day.
