Dear Wonderful Walking Leaders! 

Thank you very much indeed for all your efforts leading your flocks through the mud to our Candlemas Walkers’ Cafe. You really were lucky with the sunshine from above even if the mud below was a challenge….We were delighted to welcome you to our church again and would like to thank you for the amazing contribution to the church’s upkeep that you made this year, a record £565 and that certainly put a smile on the treasurer’s face! Many years we get a ‘fee’ from film companies using Fingest but have not this year plus we have had to replace some stolen oil so the record taking this year is very doubly appreciated in the endless quest to fund our ancient church. So a heartfelt thank you to you for leading the walks and to you and your walkers for all the generous donations to our lovely church. The cakes did not run out, I am glad to say, covering amply the appetites of all the walkers, then the village residents who came for a village get-together after the walkers, and there was even enough left over for the Hambleden Valley Tea Club which gets together the elderly of the valley once a week. Perfect! 

We had two items left behind this year, a pair of brown wrap-around glasses very early on in the day and a black warm hat somewhere in the middle of the day. If anyone contacts you about these items pleas put them in direct touch with me and I will ensure they get their property back.  

Our next PCC meeting is coming up  and we will decide the date for 2019 then and I will pass it on to you and we hope to welcome you back next year.
