Loose Cannons Walk

ch1 ch2 ch3 ch4

Poor weather had been forecast for our walk and with over 20 miles scheduled it was no surprise to see Norman set off at a brisk pace whilst the rain held off.

Carpets of bluebells were encountered as we ventured through several areas of woodland and this was in direct contrast to the bright yellow fields of rapeseed.

There were plenty of newly born lambs to see although I am still awaiting an explanation fro Ian & Val about one incident with a sheep. All I know is that Val held the sheeps legs whilst Ian manhandled it and the sheep seemed happy enough when he had finished!

No major ascents on the day but a good varied walk through rural countryside and woodland. The route was not easy to plan and thanks must go to Norman for organising the walk.

Yes,we did get back before the rain started!
