Dacre Banks Walk

Into darkest Nidderdale for our latest outing and our ranks were duly swelled by good representation from the local group. Special thanks to John Darley for the photographs..

A gentle outing by Dave's standardswith few major ascents but one or two very interesting stream crossings following local heavy rain.

Initially we climbed High Crag and almost bypassed the trig point until yours truly made a detour. The picture confirms our arrival on the summit.

Later on we visited the astonishing Coldstones Cut, a recent artwork overlooking a big hole in the ground, otherwise known as a quarry.

A dry day with patches of sunshine, and we met a party of ladies coming from the other direction who were in various states of undress, trying to boost their suntans! Cue the Morecambe & Wise classic - Its lovely out - put it away, someones coming!

Tea & scones at a watering hole in Pateley Bridge - all very civilised

A grand day out
