December 2016 News Letter

Hi All,

Hope everybody is well, and more importantly getting out and about. The weather has been rather unsettled earlier in the month but thankfully we now have some bright, crisp winter days ahead.

So, what have we got to look forward to in December.

Thu 1st Dec 2016 we have a walk starting at

Embsay near Skipton. 20 Miles, moderate pace. This is being led by Dave Gordon.

Sat 10th Dec, we have a Gisburn walk again led by Dave. 20 miles, mod pace.

Thurs 15th Dec we have a joint walk with Calderdale..Bronte Crimbo ‘Bah Humbug’ Led by Ian Hull…you can guess the pace. Chance to wind down in the pubs of Hebden Bridge afterwards for food and drink but it been pointed out this is at your own expense.

Finally, it’s the FFFFFFriezland walk on the 17th Dec led by Anne. 18 miles, mod pace. Early start from Annes (08;15) for coffee.

With regard to Challenge events, there is the Rudolph Romp(Event full) on the 3rd Dec. The ‘Regular Irregular on the 10th Dec and that’s about it in our area.

Obviously, if you require more details, these can be found in Strider and the web site.

Couple of points to add. Ron has asked could all walk leaders walk Leaders let Ron have their walk details before December  10th please.

Ron wants to have it done and dusted before Christmas.

Also, as reported last time, our post Seasonal meal is now full. Thanks to all those who have pre ordered your food choices but there are still a few who have yet to decide. Can those who haven’t chosen yet let me have their choices ASAP as I need to submit them to the Church Inn.

So that’s all for now.

I know it’s a bit early but Happy Christmas to everyone and I will catch up with you all soon.

Cheers,

Glenn.
