Five Reservoir Walk (13/02/2016)

Michael:

With a cool blustery breeze at Tegg's Nose Country Park, 16 of us set off in search of five reservoirs. After passing through Macclesfield Forest we arrived at the top of a windy Shutlingsloe in time for the sun to appear. John joined us at our lunch stop at Panniers Pool - we started with 16 and finished with 17! The weather brighten up for the afternoon which included Higher Nabbs, Piggford Moor and Haddon Farm before joining the Gritstone Trail taking us passed Ridgegate reservoir before returning to Tegg's Nose and the warmth of the café.

Duncan adds:

I make it 16 miles and 3450ft ascent in 7hrs 9mins. Calculated time 6hrs 5 mins so pace not too bad for a social walk.
