Sunday's ascent of Helvellyn again attracted six people but this time all from North Yorks who enjoyed another warm / humid day.

Leaving Glenridding we followed a circuitous route up and up till we turned left to gain the summit of Helvellyn where we were ambushed by a host of pesky midgies, however a welome hot drink was available via a charity and enjoyed by all.  Our leader (me) told us it would be all downhill from here omitting to mention Nethermost Pike and Dollywagen before a steep descent to Grisedale tarn followed by a fairly flat section back to the Travellers Rest for well earned refreshments.
