Gillamoor Daffodil Walk | Saturday 14 April

Walk Leader: Andy Miller
Participants: 10
Mileage: 15.7 miles
Ascent: 2533 ft
Walk Report: Robert Cope

A very enjoyable and leisurely-paced walk through the daffodils.  Conditions mainly cloudy but thankfully no rain and little wind.  Temperature 8o-12o C

From Gillamoor our adventurous and trusty leader took us along a less frequently used path right alongside the River Dove, where the display of daffodils was even better than those seen later at Farndale.  Well worth the muddy underfoot conditions!  See the photos below.

It was noted (with considerable amusement by all) that no daffodils were spotted on the return loop over the bleak moors along Rudland Rigg!  It was good to see Andy (our Walks Secretary) out and about.  We finished early at 3:10 pm.
