Shrewsbury to Whitchurch Walk

The Shropshire Way Festival celebrates the creation of a definitive Shropshire Way Main Route, designated by the new orange way markers.
A week of walks from the 21st to the 28th September.
The Marches Group are offering the following walks.

Shrewsbury to Wem 12 miles

or to Whitchurch 28 miles

Leaving Shrewsbury Station forecourt at 8.00am on Wednesday 25th September and returning by train from either finishing point.

Those living in North Shropshire can arrive at Shrewsbury by train and walk home.

The route will follow the Shropshire Way to Wem where Roger will provide light refreshments.

We will then deviate from the rather overgrown field route to pick up the Ellesmere Canal for most of the way to Whitchurch.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
