We are very sorry to announce that because of low numbers we have to cancel the event. Rather than abandon the walk altogether we invite anyone interested to join us for a supported social walk starting at 8am from the Priory Hall. There is also the option of meeting in Craven Arms at the Casca car park at 7.20, sharing lifts to Wenlock and walking the first half of the route. All those who have entered - and we thank you for your support - will be contacted and will receive a full refund

From The Priory Hall, The Bullring, Much Wenlock, Shropshire TF13 6HS

The event starts at the grave of William Penny Brookes the father of the modern Olympic movement in the picturesque small town of Much Wenlock, and is part of the annual Wenlock Olympian Games. The route follows the Shropshire Way to the Church at Holdgate where the ladies of the parish serve an array of amazing cakes. It then climbs Abdon Burf before heading to Craven Arms before tackling a few more Shropshire hills on the return route to Much Wenlock

General Notes
This event is open to walkers and runners. It is a demanding event requiring navigation skills. Entrants should have completed at least 2 walks of 25ml or more in the previous 12 months

Entry: £18, non LDWA £28 incl drinks and toast at the start, food at 3 Cps and a meal at the end, sleeping area, cert and memento. Note - entrants must carry a MUG
