The founders challenge has sadly been cancelled for 2020 due to Covid-19 social distancing Rules. We are all very sad about this, but could not find a way to run the event in the current circumstances. We will be back in 2021!

Route
The Start and Finish will be at St Catherine's Village Hall, Guildford, with checkpoints located at Peaslake Village Hall, Tanners Hatch Youth Hostel and Shere Village Hall

This event provides a unique opportunity to visit places associated with the founders of the LDWA: The Old Post Office in Peaslake where, in 1972, Chris Steer, Alan and Barbara Blatchford first made contact with each other, Tanners Hatch Youth Hostel, which staged the inaugural meeting in 1973, Pitch Hill with its toposcope relating to the LDWA, and Steers Field & Blatchford Down, National Trust locations that honour our founders

General Notes
Entry limit 200 with a maximum of 50 runners. Bring your own mug, bowl and plate to reduce plastic usage. Additional details including downloadable route descriptions and GPX files will be added as they become available. Fast trains from London at 06.45 and 07.15 then every 15 mins. Entries open on the 1st May and close 4th October. Entry fees preferably through SIEntries
