General Notes
The Capital Challenge Walk has run successfully for 3 years. The committee has decided to develope two completely new routes. The Route Descriptions need to be tested. The first route will be tested in two stages in July and the second in two stages in August. If you wish to help out testing the first route and enjoy a relaxing walk as well do join in. Susanne Waldschmidt will be supervising the walks so no-one goes astray. Please bring a print out of the route if you are planning to join this walk. The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
