Meet Chingford stn. (take 17.33 from Liverpool Street) Take the 1733 train from Liverpool Street (it's now run by Overground), and the walk will start shortly after its arrival at 1801. The walk explores the central part of the Forest, by Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge, round Connaught Water, over Cuckoo Brook and up to Pole Hill, where if we're lucky we can enjoy sunset over the City. Back at Chingford station, the nearby Station House pub has a reduction for CAMRA members. Return trains run every 15 minutes till late
