I hope everyone has been enjoying their their walking in this lovely mid-September weather. I was sorry to have to miss the Founders Challenge Marshals - the new routes must have looked really good in the early autumn sun - but I had a prior engagement, i.e. the Shotley Peninsula 50, and am now dealing with the resulting blisters. They were well worth the acquiring, though - and congratulations to London Group Treasurer Pete Colley, who sped round far faster than I did.
So, on to this week's walking, which features another of Ron Williamson's wonderful pop-ups on Friday, a tour of the more rural parts of Essex around Dagenham amd Upmnister. On Sunday, Peter Jull is leading us on a linear walk through the Kent countryside - perfect for those who want to go the extra mile or so and see a lot of superb views along the way.
