C horleywood for the Chilterns - this week with London LDWA
London LDWA
It's a return to the Chilterns for our Saturday walk this week, with NIgel leading a (longish) circular based on Chorleywood. Scroll down for full details. In other news, the new Founders Challenge route was successfully tested last week, with the guinea pigs managing not to wilt in the fierce heat - see the photo by Ian below, and more on our Facebook. Meanwhile, given the weather conditions, not only happy but fully-sunscreened and well-hydrated walking!
The Red Rose 50
It's always a pleasure to help other LDWA groups publicise an event, and East Lancashire's 50, adapted from the 2015 Red Rose 100, has received plenty of positive feedback in the two years it's been staged so far. It's also a qualifier for next year's Hundred, so if you fancy a late summer/early autumn break in some lovely countryside, why not give it a go?
