After a very enjoyable AGM last Wednesday, London LDWA is pleased to announce its new Chair, Ali Pretty, with Gavin Fuller taking over as Webmaster. Many thanks to outgoing incumbents Peter Aylmer and Keith Lane.

Meanwhile, at least two London Group members went off-piste last weekend to take part in the 51-mile Winter Poppyline, a very pleasant day's walking and then some, though as part of the route featured some cliff-top walking perhaps not recommended for anyone with vertigo, as you'll see from the second of the photos below. Your Newsletter editor is grateful that she uses her fingers rather than her toes to type with, as she has some spectacular blisters.

Meanwhile, it's back to the Chilterns this week with Bola's circular walk on Saturday, based on Harlington. Scroll down for all the details.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
