Say hello to spring with London LDWA - Streatham to Wimbledon and the best of Kent!
London LDWA
The clocks have gone back and it's officially spring - apparently. Well, at least it's stopped snowing, for now, and whatever this week's weather fronts have in store, two great walks will tempt you outdoors. Wednesday features Peter's pre-prandial yomp from Streatham Common via the Capital Ring and Wandle Way, with two pubs to choose from at the finish in South Wimbledon. And on Easter Saturday Keith's 18-miler takes us from Edenbridge to Tonbridge through some of the loveliest parts of the Kent countryside.
The Capital Challenge Marshals' Walk (Arctic version) Conditions were indeed slightly Challenging in the Capital last Sunday when eight marshals-to-be set out from Sir Larry's statue outside the BFI.
And here's the start of the non-Arctic version walked out by five more marshals six days later. At least it didn't snow this time!
