Dear all
Well what a week that was! Record-breaking temperatures and record breaking boats paying Essex a visit. How can we top that?
Actually - there are two more walks on offer this week, which are guaranteed to both exercise the limbs and stimulate the mind
Our first excursion, on Wednesday evening, gives us the opportunity to - would you believe it - explore two more of those little-known tributaries of the Thames In this case it's the Mole and Ember rivers (and later, the Molember). Though I have to say we have visited so many of these Thames tributaries lately that I am beginning to wonder if we are actually living on the Nile delta! If you'd like to go, join John and Gail at Hampton Court Station at 18.15 on Wednesday evening.
On the Peripherique LDWA members checking out the route for next Saturday's St Albans walk
Looking further ahead, Saturday's walk takes us up to the north of London, to St Albans. For this trip, Jerome is heading to St Albans, and promises to lead us on a circuit of the city, on a "Peripherique" walk, which will hopefully be considerably less hazardous than the eponymous road in France. To join this walk, make your way to St Albans City station for 09.00 on Saturday, where Jerome will meet you.
So, that's all for now
Have another great week
Adam
